So yea, just finished a new set. I deemed it the Skittles on the Run mix, and I'm back to DJ Neptune. The mixing isn't superb but its isn't full on train wrecks, and still fun to listen to, a solid hour of fun. This mix is very Jeet Kun Do, meaning it doesn't really stay in a particular style, its got a little bit of synth rock, electro blog house, house, and italo-disco; the works.
Uhmm what else, oh track listing. Yea check it out, its perfect for the Friday afternoon, post work, post school, stroll or bike ride.

Summer is coming to a close, and I thought it would insightful to do a little life update on the status quo. I'm working on a few small projects here and there. I got started back up with the jeans thing, and currently i am about over 50-60 percent done with a pair of black strech denim ones which im going to custom tailor like those oh so infamous emo/girl jeans with the skinny cuts. (might update the shisty camera photos of them later)
I think what I want to do soon is create a blog in which A) I update frequently with exciting stories, B) create an environment to upload my quick ideas and sketches for those who might be interested, and C) create a showcase for the current music which I am listening to or what I deem hot at the moment.
That and I pretty much have a mandate from the higher powers that be, to not fail at all this semester in terms of schooling. because apparently the numbers "3.125" will not even get you a job for minimum wage these days.
Still, I'm saving money for LA, and stuff. Need to work on my networking skills more too. On a plus, for the first time in my life i will be almost as free as could be, like now i am going to be like a legit adult. i mean i was an adult at 19 and 20ish, but when you turn 21, it legitimizes it. So in a major way, I'm pretty excited about it, but a small part of me has this peter pan syndrome that doesn't want to waste another year and stay this age forever.
That aside, once i get to LA, I need to set my goals to travel more.
Do I want to design clothing for a living???, i mean i'm getting to that stage where i'm not still quite too dedicated to any one passion right now. I mean, I really need to set other career goals than winning the lottery. I need to find a definitive path, and im lost among all the minimum wage hourlies I have worked, I've given up hope almost of breaking throught to a good new job.
Hmmm, things to ponder...

Things are gunna get busy soon, maybe for the better thought.
This whole turning 21 thing is becoming way too omnious, almost everyday i anticipate it.
I mean I love you San Diego for being my home for the last 20 years of my life, but for fucks sake can we atleast get some more action for those who aren't under 21? I seriously tire of surfer meantality of bro-ism that is so cherished around here. Ughhh. I just need a way out. anyone with 3.5 grand to spare?
Another project I need to pick up again is that jeans thing, which I am excusing myself from because i dont have a proper serger yet, still i need to be dreaming more, and focusing time spent dicking around into creative shit.
That aside, I think i'm crushing again, it's gunna hurt when i find out she's not too interested back, oh well thats just how it works doesn't it?

Still haven't got my car back from repairs... :( (after 8 weeks!!)

I finished the best Electro liveset so far I have ever done (Dr. Thunderpussy Electro mix)
uhmm what else...
oh im working on stenciling out a really cool shirt right now (rolls royce grill)(hope to have this finished by thursday)
Need to quit my job at aaron brothers before i piss people off any more with my "incompetence".

I really fail at updating this, even thought i check it nearly daily. It might be beneficial to post an update as pertaining to life and such, but frankly my days are quite mundane, filled with checking the major three social networking sites; facebook, myspace and livejournal. I have a series of projects i'm working on right now that will hopefully fill my life with something once i get around to finishing them, they are:
designing a banadana for abstractmall.com,
working on sketches for a 15 ft wide wheatpaste/stencil,
saving money for moving to L.A. in september,
spending money on shit i need (car repairs) and don't need (tweed covered van's slip-ons).
failing and crash course learning to DJ electro and house.
working close to 55 hours a week.
and setting sights on UCLA's transfer admitions department and hoping like anything to get in. |

Like usual, i've been wasting alot of time on the internet, but as an upside i've gotten into a large amount of music. maybe tommorow or something if i am wasting some time i'll put together a liveset-esque mix to download of my current stuff.
Lots of trips to LA this last month, lots of concerts attended. The highlight of it was most certainly MSTRKRFT playing with Justice @ Safari Sams on halloween.
Anyways, the main goals I have right now are getting another job so i take more trips out of San Diego. Seriously I know everyone is going to be so stoked about coming home on thanksgiving, but seriously I am probably the only one who wants to get out. I swear i'm going to make a shirt that is like those I heart NY with I heart LA on it. To me LA is such a mystical place, its so big, its seems like its impossible to conquer, maybe thats why i love it.

Why is it that sociology is such a backwards judgmental science. Its like the most subjective opinioned field of science i have ever experienced. I feel like an idiot for taking this course. Its so backward, like it's always everyone elses fault for everything in sociology. There is no personal ownership for deviation in society, its all planned to a t.
